Room G265 - Whisper Room
The whisper room is a soundproof booth that allows students to digitally create high-quality sound recordings. Upon entering the room there is an iMac connected to a 17" monitor and a Rhodes announce microphone. The program of choice for audio editing is called Audacity. Oftentimes the room gets very hot due to the small size of the room geared toward reducing sound. To cool down the room, the room also features a cooling fan. Important tip: remember to turn the fan off when recording so that it does not interfere with the sound quality.
